ORDER

[Made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed seeking a direction to the the respondents to secure the detenue Singarammal, W/o. Kaveri, aged about 80 years and produce before this Court and set her at liberty.

It is the case of the petitioner that his mother Singarammal, aged about 80 years, went missing from 27.01.2021 and thereafter, her whereabouts are not known. 3.

Today, Bakiaraj (Mobile No.94981 69923), Grade 473, Dharmapuri Police Station, Dharmapuri District, is present. 4.

Prosecutor submitted that on a complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Dharmapuri Police Station Crime No.241 of 2021 has been registered on 20.03.2021 for 'woman missing' and investigation is in progress.

In such view of the matter, this habeas corpus petition stands closed with a direction to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Dharmapuri Sub-Division, Dharmapuri District, to supervise the investigation in Dharmapuri Police Station Crime No.241 of 2021 and keep the petitioner informed of the developments, if any. As and when the detenue Singarammal, aged about 80 years, is secured, she shall be produced before the Judicial Magistrate Court No.I, Dharmapuri District, under intimation to the petitioner. On such production, the learned Magistrate shall pass appropriate orders with regard to custody in accordance with law.
