ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of a writ of mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to act upon the representation made by the petitioner on 03.07.2025, wherein the petitioner is seeking for carrying out the correction in the copy of the document by deleting the wrong entry made as SF.No.72/9 instead of SF.No.72/10.

2.Heard Mr.B.Kumarasamy, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.U.Baranidharan, learned Special Government Pleader for R1, R2 & R3. R4 and R5 have been served with notice and their names have also been printed in the cause list. However, there is no representation for the respondents 4 & 5 either in person or through counsel.

3.This Court has carefully considered the submissions made on either side and the materials available on record.

4.The learned counsel for the petitioner produced the original document dated 01.02.1989 registered as Document No.186/1989. On going through the document and more particularly the schedule of property, this Court finds that the survey number has been mentioned as S.F.No.72/10. Whereas, in the second copy which is hand written, it has been wrongly mentioned as S.F.No.72/9. The necessary correction in the second copy which is retained by the 3rd respondent can be done only the 3rd respondent.

5.In the view of the above, there shall be a direction to the 3rd respondent to carry out the necessary correction in the second copy of the document dated 01.02.1989 registered as Document No.186/1989 by mentioning the survey number in the schedule of property as S.F.No.72/10. This process shall be completed by the 2nd and 3rd respondents within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of the order 6.This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions No costs. 28.03.2025 Index : Yes/No NCS : Yes/No 3 / 5
