Prayer in W.P.No.7445/2020:- Writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the representation dated 30.03.2020 and thereby through the duly appointed Committee provide emergency relief of Rs.10,000/-(Rupees Ten Thousand only) to each of the identified
indigent Advocate from the General Fund available with the 2nd respondent through the new fund under the caption of ''Bar Council of Tamil nadu & Puducherry 2020 Lockdown Fund-Financial Assistance to Indigent Advocates''.

ORDER
[Order of the Court was made by M.SATHYANARAYANAN,J.,] (1)Heard the submissions of Mr.R.C.Paul Kanagaraj, Advocate who is also appearing as Party-in-person and he is also an elected Member of the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. (2)The petitioner/party-in-person would submit that the Bar Council of India, through the Press Release dated 07.04.2020 has formulated a Scheme for providing financial assistance to the needy Advocates and there was an overwhelming response from the Senior Advocates and other persons and in a function held yesterday [18.05.2020], a sum of Rs.4000/- has been distributed to the needy Advocates and in the light of the said development, nothing remains for further adjudication in this writ petition.
(3)Mr.C.K.Chandrasekaran, learned Standing counsel appearing for the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry/2nd respondent would submit that a mechanism has been put in place as to the identification of the Advocates and the disbursal of the sum of Rs.4000/- to each of the affected Advocates has been done in a transparent manner and as such, the grievance expressed by the petitioner who himself is a Member of the Bar Council, has been fully addressed.
(4)This Court has carefully considered the rival submissions and also perused the materials placed before it.
(5)In the light of the said welcome development, this Court is of the considered view that nothing remains for further adjudication in this writ petition.
