THE HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE R.SUBRAMANIAN CRL.O.P.No.7223 of 2020 Murthy ... Petitioner Vs.

The State rep. by The Inspector of Police, Vadlur Police Station, Cuddalore District.

Crime No.294 of 2019 ... Respondent Prayer: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 439 of Cr.P.C. to grant bail to the petitioner in Crime No.294 of 2019 by the respondent Police. For Petitioner : No appearance For Respondent : Mr.C.Iyyappa raj Additional Public Prosecutor

O R D E R

The petitioner seeks bail in respect of Crime No.294 of 2019 registered against him under Sections 120B, 147, 148, 352, 324, 326, 307 & 302 read with 149 of IPC.

2. It is stated that the petitioner has been in judicial custody from 18.11.2019.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the Charge Sheet has been filed and the petitioner is involved in four other cases, out of which two have been registered under Section 302 of IPC. He would also submit that the case on hand itself is one for retaliatory murder and contend that there is a possibility of further crimes if the petitioner is enlarged on bail.

4. Considering the safety of the petitioner in the present circumstances, I am of the considered opinion that it will be safer for the petitioner to be inside the prison. Hence this bail petition is dismissed. 16.04.2020 vum
