ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed to direct the respondent to complete the investigation and file a final report in Crime No.106 of 2023, dated 25.05.2023 on the file of the respondent police.

When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent Police submitted that the case in Crime No.106 of 2023 has now been transferred to the Inspector of Police, Mettur Police Station, Salem and the investigation in this case is under progress and the respondent Police will be able to complete the investigation and file the final report within a period of five months.

3. Considering the aforesaid submission, the Inspector of Police, Mettur Police Station, Salem, is suo motu impleaded as second respondent. 4.

Recording the aforesaid submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court directs the second respondent/the Inspector of Police, Mettur Police Station, Salem, to complete the investigation and file the final report in respect of Crime No.106 of 2023 transferred from the first respondent police station to second respondent police station, within a period of five months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.

Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of. 11-03-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order SRM
