ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) This is a matter relating to compassionate appointment. It is undisputed that the petitioner's father, who was working as a night watchman in the Court of Judicial Magistrate, Rasipuram, Namakkal, died in harness on 30.01.2012.

2.The petitioner is one of the legal heirs and he made a request through an application dated 16.03.2017 to the second respondent for appointment on compassionate basis. The same has been turned down on the ground of delay and the contention is that the bonafide and legitimate request of the petitioner has https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

not been accepted without considering the question of condoning the delay in the filing of the application.

3.From the record, we find that the petitioner is a very well qualified person having obtained his bachelor degree in Literature from Periyar University, Salem, in First Class. 4.In the wake of the said background and further fact that the petitioner belongs to Scheduled Caste community, we hope and trust that the request of the petitioner, if made before the State Government for any such relaxation, shall be considered and disposed of appropriately.

With the aforesaid observation, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
