Respondents Prayer:- Writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus to direct the Respondents 1 and 2 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.04.2020 and pass orders notifying the period of lock down from 24.03.2020 to 14.04.2020 as special holidays for industrial establishments, excluding establishments which were allowed to function, in terms of powers vested under Section 3 (2) of the Tamil Nadu (National, Festival and Special Holidays) Act.

[Order of the Court was made by M.SATHYANARAYANAN, J.,] (1)Mr.S.Ravindran, learned Senior counsel who is also appearing as Party-in-person would submit that new Industries are started functioning partially from 04.05.2020 and fully from 18.05.2020 and in the light of the said development, nothing remains for further adjudication in this writ petition.

(2)The Court heard the submissions of Mr.V.Jayaprakash Narayan, learned Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 and 2 .

(3)In the light of the said submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner, this writ petition stands closed. However, issue left open to be decided in appropriate proceedings. No costs.
