ORDER

The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider his application dated 06.02.2014 for the grant of FL-3 licence to the Andal Hotel at No.528/1, Venkateswarapuram Village, Tiruvanamalai, Srivilliputtur Taluk, Virudhunagar District, within a time frame.

2. Mr.Zakir Hussain, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent submitted that the respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's application dated 06.02.2014, on merits and in accordance with law, within a stipulated time.

3. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and also taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

application dated 06.02.2014 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
