Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records of the notification dated 25.06.2008 R.C.No.M1/30571/2008 under Section 1/5

3(2) of the Tamilnadu Acquisition of land for Industrial Purpose Act 1997 (Tamilnadu Act 10 of 1999) issued by the 1st respondent and quash the same in so far as the petitioner's properties are concerned and consequently to direct the respondents to restore the revenue records of petitioner's lands to their original position as it stood before the impugned acquisition proceedings.

By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is disposed of at the stage of admission itself.

The Writ Petition is filed challenging the notification dated 25.06.2008 issued by the first respondent under Section 3(2) of the Tamilnadu Acquisition of Land for Industrial Purpose Act, 1997 and also to direct the respondents to restore the revenue records of the petitioner's lands to their original position as it stood before the impugned acquisition proceedings.

On perusal of records, it is seen that after issuing notice under Section 3(2) of the Tamilnadu Acquisition of Land for Industrial Purpose Act, now the notification issued under Section 3(1) of the Act, cannot be quashed since the acquisition notice was served. 4.

In such view of the matter, I do not find any merits in this Writ Petition and the same is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
