Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to remove the encroachments made by the 3rd respondent in respect of road portion of S.No.11/1C1A1A1A, situated at Ko.Ponneri Village, Vasantham Nagar, Periyar Nagar South, Vridhachalam Taluk, Cuddalore District in the light of the complaint made by the 1st respondent to the 2nd respondent dated 24.01.2024 in Na.Ka.FL.504/2024.

ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard Mr.C.Prabakaran, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.c.Kathiravan, learned Special Government Pleader for respondents 1 and 2.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that encroachment, to an extent of 2 feet, has been made by respondent 3 on the layout road.

3. Learned Special Government Pleader submits that survey was conducted and stones were placed, thereby, demarcating the road. The same, it appears, is removed. Learned Special Government Pleader further submits that steps would be taken, in accordance with law, to remove the encroachment on the layout road.

4. In view of the said submission, no further orders are necessary. The writ petition, accordingly, stands disposed of. There shall be no orders as to costs. Consequently, W.M.P.No.9212 of 2024 is closed.
