ORDER

This petition had been filed to quash the proceedings in M.C.No.1 of 2019 (on the file of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Nagapattinam).

2. When the case came up for hearing, the learned Counsel for the Petitioner submitted that the case had been settled. However, the Counsel representing the first Respondent/Complainant present in the Court and stated that she was nominated by the Legal Services Authority attached to this Court as Counsel for the first Respondent/Complainant herein and she has no instruction regarding the settlement. Therefore, to clarification, the case was adjourned to 26.04.2022. On 26.04.2022, there was no representation on behalf of the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Respondents. Therefore, this Court had directed the Registry to call for remarks from the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Nagapattinam and adjourned the case to 28.04.2022.

3. Today, when the case came up for hearing as Item No.11 in the cause-list, the learned Counsel for the Petitioner submitted that in the daily status, it is stated that the case was settled before the National Lok Adalat. In the meanwhile, this Court had also obtained remarks from the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Nagapattinam and found that the case had been settled.

4. In the light of the above, nothing survives for further adjudication in this petition. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is closed. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
