[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed seeking to direct the 2nd respondent to produce the body or person of the petitioner's son viz., Venkatesan, son of Thulasi, aged about 20 years and produce before this Court and set him at liberty forthwith.

It is the case of the petitioner that his son Venkatesan, aged about 20 years, went missing from 27.03.2021 and that the police are not taking effective steps to secure him. 3.

On instructions, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on a complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Mappedu Police Station Crime No.132 of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2021 was registered for 'man missing' on 28.03.2021. He further submitted that Venkatesan was secured on 29.03.2021 and his custody was handed over to the petitioner and thereafter, the police have closed the case as further action dropped in Crime No.132 of 2021.

However, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that Venkatesan is once again missing from 29.03.2021. 5.

In the opinion of this Court, the police cannot be asked to go in search of Venkatesan again and again. That apart, Venkatesan is not a minor, but, is twenty years. In such view of the matter, this habeas corpus petition stands closed.
