Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of writ of mandamus, directing the first respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 20.08.2014 seeking appointment under compassionate grounds.

O R D E R

The petitioner is the legal representative of Tmt.Kiliammal, who worked as Sanitary Worker in the Corporation of Thanjavur. The mother of the petitioner died on 28.08.2010. The petitioner submitted an application for compassionate appointment on 20.08.2014. However, there was no follow up action taken by the second respondent. The petitioner is therefore before this Court.

2. The second respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the application submitted by the petitioner dated 20.08.2014 on merits and as per law. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
