O R D E R
The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 11.02.2020 for the offence punishable under Sections 341, 294(b), 336, 427, 397 & 506(2) of IPC, in Crime No. 117 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.
2. The case of the prosecution is that on 06.02.2020 at about 09.00 hours, five persons waylaid the defacto complainant and robbed cash of Rs.5000/- and a cell phone at knife point. Hence, the complaint.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and in order to detain the petitioner under Goondas Act 14 of 1982, one another case has been foisted against him. He further submitted that the petitioner is in judicial custody from 11.02.2020 and hence, he seeks bail for the petitioner.
4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Crl. Side) submitted that there are many cases pending against the petitioner. Hence, he 2/6
vehemently opposed for grant of bail to the petitioner
5. Considering the above facts and circumstances of the case and the previous bad antecedents of the petitioner, this court is not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, this petition stands dismissed.
