ORDER
The Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of a Mandamus seeking a direction against the first respondent to consider the name of the petitioner in the Roll for awarding Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's Constabulary Medal and also grant subsequent allowances.
2.It had been stated that the petitioner had been appointed as Grade II Constable on 01.02.2023 and subsequently promoted to Head Constable on 18.03.2023. He had served without any adverse remarks. It had been stated that his name had been recommended for grant of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's Constabulary Medal in the Pongal day 2024. But, unfortunately, the medal was not actually given. It is under those circumstances this Writ petition has been filed.
3.The first respondent may examine the service register of the petitioner and if the petitioner is eligible considere him for the Grant of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's Constabulary Medal and for further allowances on the occasion of Pongal day 2026. Necessary orders in this regard may be 2/4
passed without any delay.
