The revision petition is filed by the landlords praying to direct the XII Judge, Court of Small Causes, Chennai to dispose of R.C.O.P.No.2571 of 2009, pending on its file, within a specified time frame as may be fixed by this Court.

It is stated by the petitioner that the said R.C.O.P is pending for more than seven years and the Court below on several hearings had adjourned the matter without any adjudication. Hence, the petitioner seeks for early disposal.

Considering the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the XII Judge, Court of Small Causes, Chennai to dispose of the R.C.O.P.No.2571 of 2009. Accordingly, the XII Judge, Court of Small Causes, Chennai is directed to dispose of R.C.O.P.No.2571 of 2009 on or before 30.06.2017. It is also made clear that the trial Court shall not seek any further extension of time. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
