The writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to provide necessary police protection to the petitioner to safeguard the life of the petitioner and to ensure the recurrence of the honour killing will not witness in the Erode district or any other palce in the State of Tamil Nadu.

2. The petitioner seeks police protection to the petitioner to safeguard the life of the petitioner. Now, almost three years have been lapsed and hence, due to the lapse of period, the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted now. However, the petitioner is at liberty to file a fresh petition, on fresh cause of action, if so advised.

3. With the above observations, this Writ Petition stands https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
