C.R.P.No.1886 of 2021 C.R.P.No.1886 of 2021 and C.M.P.No.14685 of 2021 SATHI KUMAR SUKUMARA KURUP, J., The learned III-Additional District and Sessions Judge, Erode at Gobichettipalayam has sought extension of time to dispose of the case in O.S.No.20 of 2018.
2. As per the order passed by this Court in C.R.P.(PD).No.1886 of 2021 dated 27.09.2021, the learned III - Additional District and Sessions Judge, Erode at Gobichettipalayam was directed to dispose of the case in O.S.No.20 of 2018 within a period of four months from the date of receipt of copy of the order.
3. As per the remarks offered by the learned III-Additional District and Sessions Judge, Erode at Gobichettipalayam, the trial had commenced only on 09.02.2022. Further it is stated that the Defendant did not appear. After sufficient opportunity is granted, the learned Counsel for the Defendant appeared and proceeded with the Cross-examination. 4. As per the explanation offered by the learned III-Additional District Sessions Judge, Erode at Gobichettipalayam is accepted. Further time of six months is granted. The learned III-Additional District Sessions Judge, Erode at Gobichettipalayam is directed to proceed with the trial on day to day basis and not to grant unnecessary adjournments on the whims and fancies of the appearing Counsels or the parties. No further extension of time will be granted. The case has to be disposed of within the extended period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
