ORDER

The present Writ Petition is filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to provide water service connection to petitioner premises at Door No.5/121, Nanjundapuram, Kallipalayam Village Panchayat by considering the water Connection charges and Security Deposit made on 29.06.2024 and last Representation dated 07.02.2025 made to the respondent within the time limit as deem fit by this Court.

2. Mr.P.Gurunathan, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice on behalf of the respondent. By consent of the parties, this writ petition is taken taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner derived the property in S.F.No.272/2, Patta No.858, to an extent of Are 0.18 Punjai Acre 0.09, out of total extent of Ares 0.45 in Kallipalayam Village, Coimbatore North Taluk, bearing Door No.5/121, and Tax Assessment No.760 bearing Door No.5/121, Nanjundapuram, Kallipalayam Village Panchayat, vide Partition Settlement

Deed Doc.No.558/2018 dated 24.01.2018. The petitioner's property was assessed by the respondent and electricity service connection was provided. She had paid water connection charges on 29.06.2024 and had requested the respondent to provide water service connection. Despite a petition made to the Hon'ble Chief Minister during the Makkaludan Mudalvar Camp and a written representation dated 07.02.2025 to the respondent, the respondent has not provided water service connection to the petitioner's premises. Hence, the petitioner had filed the present Writ Petition.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that, it would be suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.02.2025 and pass orders on the same within a particular time frame fixed by this Court.

5. Mr.P.Gurunathan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent submitted that the petitioner's representation dated 07.02.2025 would be considered and orders passed within the stipulated time that may be fixed by this Court.

In view of the above submission made by the learned counsel on either side and without going to the merits of the representation, and taking note of the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, there shall be a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.02.2025, after giving due notice to the petitioner, affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner, consider the documents submitted by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the above observation & direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
