ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner herein, who was arrested on 04.04.2022 for the alleged offence under Section 273, 328, 511 of IPC and 6(b), read with 24(1) COTPA in Crime No.207 of 2022, seeks bail.

2. The petitioner herein was arrested on 04.04.2022 in connection with the recovery of the 350 Kgs of banned Tobacco products. Investigation conducted so far indicates that this petitioner has financed for transport of the banned Tobacco for illegal sale and pursuant to that, 350 Kgs of Tobacco was transported, out of which, 150 Kgs of banned Tobacco product was kept at the petitioner's shop and the same was recovered during the search conducted in his shop. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. The investigation is at nascent stage and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent opposed granting bail to the petitioner stating that the source of banned Tobacco has to be investigated and if the petitioner is released on bail, there is possibility of distorting the evidence.
