This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the second respondent to register FIR on the written complaint of the petitioner dated 05.02.2022.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, Mr.V.Meganathan, learned Government Advocate (crl.side) would submit that the complaint of the petitioner dated 05.02.2022 was received by the second respondent and finding that the value of the complaint is more than Rs.50 Lakhs, the second respondent has closed the case and directed the petitioner to approach Central Crime Branch Tambaram.

3. In view of the above, direction is issued to the second respondent to forward the complaint to the Commissioner of Police, Tambaram. The Commissioner of Police, Tambaram is directed to mark the complaint to Inspector of Police, City Crime Branch, Tambaram Commissionerate, who shall conduct preliminary enquiry and register the case if cognizable offences are made out and pass orders in accordance with law.

4. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
