Respondents Prayer:- This Habeas Corpus Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a writ of Habeas Corpus to call for the records relating to the detention order passed by the second respondent pertaining to the order made in BDFGISSV No.2008/2014 dated 29/11/2014 is detaining the detenu under 2 (F) of the Tamil Nadu Act of 1982, as a Goonda and quash the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenue Kanagaraj, S/o. Muthupandian, aged about 36 years, who is detained at the Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai before this Court and set him at liberty.

(Order of the Court was made by Dr.Justice S.Tamilvanan) The petitioner, who is the brother of the detenu Kanagaraj, son of Muthupandian, aged about 36 years, has come forward with this petition challenging the detention order passed by the 2nd respondent dated 29/11/2014 against his brother branding him as a "Goonda" under the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Cyber Law Offenders, Drug Offenders, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Forest Offenders, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders, Sand Offenders, Sexual Offenders, Slum Grabbers, and Video Pirates Act, 1982(Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982).

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the order of detention passed by the 2nd respondent as against the brother of the petitioner dated 16/2/2015 has been revoked by the Government in G.O. [Rt] No.1052, Home, Prohibition & Excise (X) Department dated 16/2/2015 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.

3. Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this petition is closed as the same has become infructuous.
