ORDER

The petitioner has come to this Court seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the first respondent-Joint Director of School Education (Employment), Chennai to consider the petitioner's appeal dated 16.8.2017 for compassionate appointment.

2. Since the petitioner's mother Mrs.R.Perumatha, while serving as Tamil Teacher, died on 15.9.2003, an application was made for compassionate appointment. As there is no response, the petitioner has been advised to come to this Court.

3. Since the petitioner's application is pending for quite a long time, this Court, putting on notice the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents, hereby directs the first respondent to consider and dispose of the application/appeal of the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law within a https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
