PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying to direct the respondent not to harass the petitioner except by due process of law.

ORDER

There is no representation for the Petitioner. This Petition has been filed seeking direction to the Police not to harass the Petitioner.

2. Learned Government Advocate submitted that there is complaint pending against the petitioner in C.S.R.No.94 of 2020 on the file of the the Respondent Police.

3. In view of such CSR pending blanket order (not to harass) cannot be passed. The Petitioner is directed to cooperate with the police for enquiry. During the course of enquiry any cognizable offence is made out, the Respondent police is free to register FIR. At the stage of such enquiry there should not be any unnecessary harassment. However, it is made clear that this order shall not be shield for the petitioner against the arrest.

4. With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
