This Civil Revision Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the learned IV Assistant Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai to dispose of the suit in O.S.No.621 of 2016.

The petitioner is the defendant in the suit. The suit was filed by the respondent / plaintiff for recovery of money. 3.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the suit is pending from the year 2016 onwards and it has to be disposed of at the earliest.

As per the report of the learned trial Judge, it appears that I.A.No.2 of 2020 is pending for disposal and the case was adjourned to 18.07.2022 for hearing the petitioner's side arguments. Since the suit is of the year 2016, it will be appreciable if the learned trial Judge post the case on day-to-day basis instead of giving long adjournments in interlocutory petitions. Since the respondent in interlocutory petition himself has not filed 2/4

any counter affidavit, the case need not have been adjourned so long to hear the petitioner.

Hence, this Civil Revision Petition is disposed of and the learned IV Assistant Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai, is directed to dispose of the suit in O.S.No.621 of 2016 along with counter claim, if any, as expeditiously as possible.
