..Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to inaugurate and ascertain the functioning of the community hall situated in Anumananthal village of Chinnasalem Taluk, Kallakkurichi District, within a stipulated time period as imposed by this Hon'ble Court, based on the representation of the petitioner dated 27.01.2022.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) The writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to inaugurate and ascertain the functioning of the community hall situated in Anumananthal Village of Chinnasalem Taluk, Kallakkurichi District.
2. Learned Additional Advocate General submitted a status report to indicate that the community hall was inaugurated by TAHDCO and handed over to the President of Anumanandal Panchayat, who is also an Executive Officer for maintaining the Hall. The community hall was not booked by anyone for the reasons best known to them.
3. It is stated that the community hall is for the use of the general public. Therefore, even the petitioner may use the community hall as and when required.
4. In the light of the aforesaid, we find that nothing survives in this writ petition. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. It is made clear that if anyone is interested to use the community hall, he/she can apply as per the Rules and in such case, the respondents are directed to allot the community hall as per the Rules.
