Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to dispose the petitioner's application through online bearing Application No.2024/0123/35/006086 dated 22.11.2024 and subsequently to survey the mutes and bounds of the petitioner's property and to grant Patta in favour of the petitioner for the property an extent of an extent of 7 out of 35 cents comprised in Survey No.14/2B1, Kalavakkam Village, Thiruporur Taluk, Chengalpattu District.

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of mandamus directing the respondents to act upon the online application submitted by the petitioner on 22.11.2024 wherein the petitioner is seeking for survey of the subject property and for demarcating of the boundaries with respect to the subject property.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the respondents.

3.The petitioner is placing reliance upon title document namely the settlement deed dated 23.06.1997. The petitioner submitted an online application dated 22.11.2024 seeking for the survey of the subject property since the petitioner wanted to apply for a patta. Necessary charges were also paid. Since the application was not acted upon, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court. 4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the respondents to act upon the online application submitted by the 2/4

petitioner on 22.11.2024 and conduct a survey in the subject property strictly based on the title documents and demarcate the boundaries. If there are any rival claimants, such survey can be conducted in their presence. This process shall be completed within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.In the result, this Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
