Prayer:Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of mandamus to direct the Thasildar, Thiruvallur Town, Thiruvallur District to issue a patta in the name of the petitioner for plot No.16, Bhavani Nagar, Periyakuppam Village, Thiruvallore Town, Thiruvallore District comprised in Survey No.292/2B2 and 292/2B3. The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the the Thasildar, Thiruvallur Town, Thiruvallur District to issue a patta in the name of the petitioner for plot No.16, Bhavani Nagar, Periyakuppam Village, Thiruvallore Town, Thiruvallore District comprised in Survey No.292/2B2 and 292/2B3.

2. According to the petitioner, he had purchased the said property on 10.03.2005 under a registered sale deed from one E.D.Rajan. After purchase, the petitioner made a request for change of patta in his name on 22.03.2013. 3. Heard both sides.

Since the writ petition was filed in the year 2015 and the matter is kept pending all these years, it is for the petitioner to file a fresh application before the third respondent seeking for the grant of patta. If any such application is filed, the same shall be considered by the third respondent on its own merits and orders shall be passed in accordance with law, after giving due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as the rival claimants, if any, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of such application. With the above observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
