2. The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the second respondent to consider the representation dated 16.10.2017, wherein and whereby, he sought for provision of electricity connection to his hut in S.No.526/1B in Door No.2/37, Neivilakku Village, Vedaranyam Taluk, Nagapattinam District.

3. According to the petitioner, he is residing in the said property for the past 48 years and his elders in the family were residing there for more than 70 years. It is further stated that the petitioner has approached the second respondent for getting the Electricity connection on several occasions and he is not provided the same so far. It is further stated that the petitioner is having school going children and therefore, the request of the petitioner has to be immediately considered.

4. Considering the above stated facts and circumstances and also considering the representation made by the petitioner on 16.10.2017, the second respondent is directed to consider the said representation of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
