This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to act upon the application submitted by the petitioner on 13.11.2024 wherein the petitioner is seeking for issuance of patta in his name with respect to the subject property. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents. 3.The petitioner is tracing right and title over the property by virtue of a WILL executed by his father dated 09.12.2010. After the demise of his father, the petitioner became the owner of the property in the year 2012. Thereafter, all the relevant tax receipts and electricity card was transferred in the name of the petitioner. The petitioner submitted an application seeking for issuance of patta in his name on 13.11.2024. Since there was no response, a representation was made on 18.12.2024 to the respondents. On receipt of the same, the RDO through a communication dated 03.01.2025 directed the 3rd respondent to deal with the application submitted by the petitioner. Even thereafter there was no 2/4
response. It is under these circumstances, the present writ petition came to be filed before this Court.
4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials available before this Court, there shall be a direction to the 3rd respondent to act upon the application submitted by the petitioner on 13.11.2024 and pass necessary orders within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.In the result, this Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
