M.P.No.3 of 2015 in C.R.P.No.1525 of 2015 M.DURAISWAMY,J., By order dated 10.04.2015, this court while dismissing the Civil Revision Petition directed the petitioner to pay the arrears of maintenance up to this date within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of that order. Now, the petitioner has filed the present Miscellaneous Petition to extend the time by four weeks stating that the petitioner is in financial crisis and not in a position to pay entire lump sum within a stipulated time.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the revision petitioner submitted that the petitioner had paid a sum of Rs.2,00,000/ on 3.6.2015 and for paying the balance amount four weeks time may be granted.

3. This court had already granted three weeks time on 10.04.2015 to pay the entire arrears. The learned counsel also submitted that the petitioner has received the copy of the order on 24.03.2015. If three weeks time is calculated from 24.03.2015, he should have paid the maintenance atleast by end of 2nd week of May 2015. Since the petitioner had stated that he is in financial crisis, I am inclined to grant 10 days time for paying the entire arrears to the respondent. Accordingly, 10 days time is granted to the petitioner to pay the entire arrears to the respondent.

4. While dismissing the Civil Revision Petition, this court also directed the Principal Family Court, Chennai to dispose of the H.M.O.P.No.637 of 2008 on or before 30.06.2015. Since I am granting 10 days time to pay the entire arrears, I direct the Principal Family Court, Chennai to dispose of the Original Petition in H.M.O.P.No.637 of 2008 on merits and in accordance with law on or before 10.07.2015.
