Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents to produce the detenue Mrs.Kalaiselvi aged about 33 years, the daughter of the petitioner before this Hon'ble Court and set her at liberty.

(Order of the Court was made by Aruna Jagadeesan,J.) Heard the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed by the petitioner, who is the father of the detenue, namely, Kalaiselvi, aged about 33 years. He had filed the Habeas Corpus Petition praying that this court may be pleased to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to produce the detenue, namely, Kalaiselvi, before this Court and to set her liberty, forthwith.

3. At the stage of the hearing the detenue, namely, Kalaiselvi was secured and produced before this court. On being enquired, the detenue stated that she had been away from her family due to misunderstanding. Further, the detenue stated that she is willing to go along with her father, the petitioner herein.

4. In view of the statement made by the detenue, who has been produced before this court, by the second respondent police, we find it appropriate to permit her to go with her father, the petitioner herein. The Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed as no further orders are necessary.
