Respondent Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a writ of mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the petitioner representation dated 30.05.2015 to conduct Village cultural programs on 10.06.2015 at Sri Chinnadavar Temple at Salarappatti Paappaankulam (Post) Madathukkulam (Taluk) Tiruppur District and provide Police Protection for the same.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner claims to be the Dharmakartha of Chinnadavar Temple at Salarappatti, Paappaankulam Post, Madathukkulam Taluk, Tiruppur District. He submitted a representation/application dated 30.05.2015 to the respondent, seeking permission to conduct song, dance and other cultural programs on 10.06.2015, in connection with the temple festival and since, he has not been favoured with any kind of response, came forward to file this writ petition.

3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that in the event of permission being granted to conduct the song and dance programme, there will not be any law and order problem and no vulgarity or obscenity will be there and hence, prays for appropriate orders.

4. This Court heard the submissions of Mr.Rm.Muthukumar, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice for the respondent.

5. Taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the application/representation, this Court, directs the respondent to consider the application/representation dated 30.05.2015, on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders, as expeditiously as possible and not later than 07.06.2015 and inform the decision taken to the petitioner forthwith.
