ORDER

The writ petition has been filed in the nature of a mandamus seeking payment of interest for the belated payment of Provident Fund, Gratuity, Commutation, Earned Leave Surrender, Arrears of Leave Surrender and DA Arrears.

2. Heard the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents.

3. The respondents may examine the service register of the petitioner and also examine whether the aforesaid amounts have been paid with delay and examine whether there is arrears in leave surrender and DA. If the amounts have been paid with delay, the respondents shall pay interest at the rate of 6% per annum from the date of retirement till the date of disbursement and if there is arrears, the respondents shall pay the same together with interest at the rate of 6% per annum from the date of retirement till the date of disbursement. The entire exercise must be completed within a period of six months from the date

of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. The writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
