Respondents Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of Habeas Corpus directing the second respondent to produce the body of the petitioner's son, the detenu by name M.Prathap, S/o G.Mariappan aged about 14 years before this Court and set him at liberty.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.,] The above petition has been filed by the petitioner/mother of the detenu, to cause production of her son, Prathap, aged about 14 years and set him at liberty.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that her son, Prathap, aged about 14 years studying in David Sronmani Matriculation School, Jujuvadi, Hosur went missing on 22.11.2014, in connection with which a case in Cr.No.469/2014 for "boy missing" has been registered by the respondent police on 23.11.2014 and the investigation is in progress. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

The respondent police have filed a Status Report detailing the steps taken by them to trace the missing boy, but in vain.

3. Recording the same, this petition is closed with a direction to the respondent police to proceed with the investigation in Cr.No.469 of 2014 and keep the petitioner informed about the whereabouts of the detenu, if any, received.
