PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying to direct the respondent police not to harass the petitioner under the guise of investigation in Cr.No.234 of 2020 pending before the respondent police, in any manner except by due process of law.

ORDER
This Petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondent Police not to harass the Petitioner.
2. Since the complaint has been filed for "women missing" there cannot be blanket order directing the police not to harass. The Petitioner is directed to cooperate with the police for enquiry whenever the petitioner called to the police station by following the proper procedure as contemplated under law. The respondent police if intent to examine the petitioner, can summon the petitioner by issuing notice as per law and examine him. Under the pretext of such examination there shall not be any harassment. During the enquiry, if any cognizable office is made out, it is open to the respondent to act as per law.

3. With this observation, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. It is made clear that this order shall not be taken as a shield from arrest.
