ORDER

Heard Mr.D.Veerasekharan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.N.Nithianandam, learned counsel for the respondents. 2.The limited prayer sought for in the writ petition is for a direction to the respondent/disciplinary authority to complete the disciplinary proceedings in Memo No.TPS-I/HR/DA/2021-I dated 26.06.2021, issued to the petitioner, which was commenced pursuant to a Charge Memo dated 26.06.2021.

3.According to the petitioner, the Enquiry Officer was appointed on 07.02.2022.

4.Both the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the respondents do not have instructions with regard to the present status of the disciplinary proceedings.

5.The Circular of NLC India Limited dated 09.03.2021 prescribes a time limit of six months for filing of the Enquiry Report from the date of appointment of the Enquiry Officer.

6.In view of such Circular, it would be appropriate that the respondents be directed to dispose of the disciplinary proceedings, within a stipulated time.

7.Accordingly, there shall be a direction to the respondents to complete the disciplinary proceedings dated 26.06.2021, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if not already concluded.

8.With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
