Petition filed under Article 226 of The Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 1st respondent to consider and pass orders on the application dated 28.11.2016, filed by the petitioner, for grant of temporary permit, under Section 87(1)(d) of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, in respect of the vehicle TN-34-L-3557, to ply the vehicle on the Inter State route Malur to Krishnagiri. O R D E R

The petitioner seeks for a direction to the first respondent, to consider her application dated 28.11.2016 for grant of temporary permit under Section 87(1)(d) of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, in respect of the vehicle TN-34-L-3557, to ply the vehicle on the Inter State route Malur to Krishnagiri.

2. Heard the learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that the said application seeking for a temporary permit is not disposed of, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

till this date, thereby causing great inconvenience and suffering to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent submitted that the said application will be considered by the first respondent within a time frame fixed by this Court, on its own merits and in accordance with law.

5. Considering the above stated facts and circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of, without expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner in respect of the application filed, only by directing the first respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 28.11.2016, seeking for grant of temporary permit and pass orders on the same, on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
