Respondent Prayer: The Contempt Petition has been filed under Section 11 of Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 praying to call the contemnors/Respondent for having willfully and wantonly disobeying the order passed by this Hon'ble Court in Crl.OP No.8003 of 2016 dated 20.04.2016 and punish him in accordance with law. ORDER

By an order dated 20.04.2016 passed in Crl.OP.No.8003 of 2016, the petitioner was granted liberty to give a fresh complaint to the second respondent and on receipt of the same the second respondent was directed to conduct an enquiry by following dictum laid down in Lalita Kumari Vs. Government of Uttar Pradesh and others [2013 (4) Crimes 243 SC].

2. Today when the matter was called, the petitioner who appeared as party-in-person, submitted that he has received a communication dated 11.09.2017 from the Superintendent of Police, Karaikkal, enclosing a copy of the action taken report on his petition dated 14.10.2016. As per the said report, it is revealed that an enquiry has been conducted, based on which, the petition was closed. The petitioner, however, submits that the decision taken by the Superintendent of Police, Karikkal, is incorrect and illegal.

3. It is needless to point out that if at all the petitioner is aggrieved on the action taken by the respondent, it is always open to him to challenge the same in the manner know to law. Since, the order of this Court has already been complied with, I am of the view that there is no wilful disobedience of the said order. Accordingly, this

Contempt Petition stands closed.
