ORDER

Apprehending arrest for the offence punishable under section 4(1) (aaa) read with 4(1-A) of TNP Act, on the file of the respondent police, the petitioner has come forward with the petition seeking for anticipatory bail.

2. Even as admitted by the petitioner, this is the second anticipatory bail application preferred by him and the earlier anticipatory bail petition laid by him in Crl.O.P.No. 7377 of 2020 had been dismissed by this Court on 30.04.2020. While dismissing the earlier anticipatory bail petition, this Court had taken into consideration that large quantity of liquor bottles which had been seized from the petitioner when all the TASMAC shops throughout the State were closed due to Corona epidemic and the serious nature of offence put forth against him and the pendency of the investigation and accordingly, dismissed the anticipatory bail application preferred by the petitioner.

3. Now, the petitioner has come forward with the second anticipatory bail application seeking anticipatory bail.

Inasmuch as the investigation is still pending and as the offence alleged against the petitioner is a serious one and further as the previous case of a similar nature is also pending against the petitioner as put forth by the learned Public Prosecutor and as rightly contended by the learned Public Prosecutor, there is a likelihood of the petitioner committing the same offence again, in all, I am not inclined to grant the relief sought for by the petitioner.

5. In the result, the criminal original petition is dismissed.
