Prayer in W.P.No.9697 of 2022: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to settle the Gratuity due to the petitioner for the services rendered by petitioner for 10 years from 24.06.2009 to 31.10.2019 forthwith, along with interest for the delayed payment by considering the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 02.08.2021.

Prayer in W.P.No.9700 of 2022: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to settle the Gratuity due to the petitioner for the services rendered by petitioner for 11 years from 14.06.2007 to 30.09.2018 forthwith, along with interest for the delayed payment by considering the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 04.08.2021.

2. Since, the facts and circumstances of both the cases are identical in nature, they are heard together and disposed of by way of this Common Order. 3.Heard the arguments advanced on either side. 2/4

4.The case of the petitioners are that they were working as either Head cum Professor or Assistant Professor in the second respondent College and on the request, the petitioners were relieved from the College, however, the Gratuity amount has not yet been settled. In this regard, the petitioners made representations to the respondents and since the same has not yet been considered, has come forward with this petition. 5.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that without going into the merits of the case, it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the respondents to consider the petitioners' representations dated 21.06.2019, 23.03.2019, 02.08.2021 & 04.08.2021 respectively and to pass appropriate orders within a stipulated time frame. 6.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, I am inclined to issue direction to the respondents to consider the petitioners' representations dated 21.06.2019, 23.03.2019, 02.08.2021 & 04.08.2021 respectively, on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
