A No. 1233 of 2026 SENTHILKUMAR RAMAMOORTHY, J.
RNA PRAYER: To extend the mandate of the Honourable Arbitral Tribunal in the dispute between the Applicant and the Respondents by a time period of 1 (one) year.
For Applicant(s):
Mr.G.Vivekanand For Respondent(s):
Ms.Aishwarya Balodi
ORDER
The claimant has applied for an extension of the mandate of the arbitral tribunal. Ms.Aishwarya Balodi, learned counsel, appears on behalf of the respondent. Both learned counsel for the applicant and learned counsel for the respondent submit that pleadings were completed earlier, but amendments thereto are warranted in view of subsequent developments. They seek an extension of one year.
2. From the affidavit in support of this application, it appears that parties engaged in mediation for purposes of arriving at an amicable resolution. This resulted in considerable delay in proceeding with the arbitration. Taking into account the stage of proceedings and the above developments, the mandate of the arbitral tribunal is extended by a period for one year from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
