This petition is filed under Section 378 (4) Cr.P.C, to grant special leave to prefer an appeal against the judgment dated 28.11.2022 made in STC.No.45 of 2019 on the file of the Fast Track Court at Magistrate Level, Thiruvallur.

2. Heard Mr.V.P.Dillibabu, learned counsel for the petitioner.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner contended that though the accused admitted his signature on the impugned cheque, the trial Court had convicted the accused on the ground that the complainant failed to prove how the accused is liable to pay the cheque amount. 4.In the said circumstances, there are arguable points in the main appeal and therefore, special leave is granted as prayed for. 1/3

5.Registry is directed to number the Criminal Appeal, if it is otherwise in order and list the matter under the caption "For Admission" on 28.07.2023.
