Mr.S.V.Doraisolaimalai, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the main writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

2.The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's Application dated 22.09.2016 for change of patta in his name within a time frame.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that inspite of the petitioner's application dated 22.09.2016 seeking for transfer of patta, the 1st respondent has not passed any order so far.

4.Mr.S.V.Doraisolaimalai, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the 1st respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's application dated 22.09.2016 and pass orders in accordance with law.

5.Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 22.09.2016 for transfer of patta and pass orders in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
