PRAYER: This criminal miscellaneous petition has been filed under Section 528 of BNSS Act, to modify the condition imposed as the petitioner to appear before the respondent police every day at 10.30 a.m., until further orders instead of the petitioner to appear before the Yaanam Town Police Station, Yaanam, Pondicherry on everyday at 10.30 a.m., imposed on the petitioner in Crl.O.P.No.4909 of 2025 vide order dated 24.02.2025. ORDER
The petitioner seeks modification of the condition directing the petitioner to report before the Station House Officer, Yaanam Town Police Station, Yaanam, Pondicherry everyday at 10.30 a.m., until further orders, imposed by this Court in Crl.O.P.NO.4909 of 2025 dated 24.02.2025.
2. It is reported by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Pondicherry) that the petitioner has stayed at Yaanam and complied with the condition to report before the Yaanam Town Police Station, Yaanam, Pondicherry, for a period of twenty-two days.
3. In view of the same, the condition imposed on the petitioner in para no.7(b) in Crl.O.P.No.4909 of 2025 dated 24.02.2025 is modified, directing the petitioner to appear before the respondent police every day at 10.30 a.m., until further orders. The other conditions imposed in the order Page No.2 of 4
dated 24.02.2025 in Crl.O.P.No.4909 of 2025 shall remain unaltered.
4. Accordingly, the criminal miscellaneous petition is ordered, and the condition is modified.
