ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the

respondents 1 and 2 to delete the names of the private respondents viz., the respondents 4 to 10 in the joint patta for the more fully disclosed in the prayer to the writ petition.

The petitioner claims that erroneously the names of the private respondents 4 to 10 have been included in the joint patta for the property more fully disclosed in the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition. According to the petitioner, he is the absolute owner of the said property and therefore, the names of the private respondents viz., respondents 4 to 10 ought to be removed from the patta. The petitioner had submitted a representation on 09.05.2024 to the respondents 1 and 2, requesting them to delete the names of the private respondents 4 to 10 from the patta. Since the said representation has not been considered, the petitioner has filed this writ petition. 3.

Mr.S.Arumugam, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3. Since no adverse orders are passed against the respondents 4 to 10, notice to them is dispensed with. 4.

No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the petitioner's representation, as stated above, is directed to be disposed of by the respondents, on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the objections of respondents 4 to 10 and all other necessary parties, whom the 2nd respondent

deems fit to enquire, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 5.

This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's application dated 09.05.2024.

For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to pass final orders, on merits and in accordance with law, on the petitioner's representation dated 09.05.2024, seeking for deletion of the names of the respondents 4 to 10 from the patta, as more fully disclosed in the prayer to the writ petition, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents produced by the petitioner and after hearing the objections of respondents 4 to 10 and any other third party, whom the 2nd respondent deems fit to enquire, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the aforesaid directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 02-04-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order RKA
