This petition has been filed to transfer the investigation pending in Cr.No.144 of 2014 on the file of Inspector of Police, D1 Chengalpet Town Police Station, Kancheepuram District to the Inspector of Police CBCID, Kancheepuram District.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.

3. It is seen that this petitioner is an accused in Cr.No.144 of 2014 for offences u/s 147, 148, 302, 120(B) IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of Indian Explosive Substance Act, 1908.

4. The petitioner has filed the present application for transfer of investigation on the ground that the investigation is not going on in proper lines. It is strange as to how the petitioner can prematurely say that the investigation is not going on in proper lines, when Final Report itself has not been filed by the respondent police.

5. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the investigation is almost over and the charge sheet will be filed shortly after getting opinion from the Deputy Director of Prosecution, Kancheepuram.

In the considered opinion of this Court, the petitioner who is an accused, has not made out any sufficient grounds for transfer of investigation. Hence, this petition is dismissed.
