This petition has been filed seeking to condone the delay of 32 days in filing the criminal appeal against the judgment made in C.C.No.38 of 2020 by the learned Special Judge, I Additional Special Court for Exclusive Trial of Cases under EC and NDPS Act, Chennai.

2. Mr.N.P.Kumar, learned Special Public Prosecutor takes notice on behalf of the respondent and he vehemently opposed for condoning the aforesaid delay.

3. Satisfied with the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit filed in support of this petition for the said delay of 32 days, this petition stands allowed.

4. Registry is directed to number the Criminal Appeal, if the papers are otherwise in order and list the same for admission in due course.

5. In the mean time, the learned counsel for the petitioner shall serve a copy of the typed set of papers on the learned Special Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.
