Respondents Prayer:- This Habeas Corpus Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a writ of Habeas Corpus to call for the records in connection with the order of Detention passed by the second respondent 25/11/2014 in Memo No.1945/BCDFGISSV/2014 against the petitioner's son Selvam, male, aged 27 years, S/o. Govindaraj, who is confined at Central Prison, Puzhal II, Chennai and set aside the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenu before this Court and set him at liberty.

(Order of the Court was made by Dr.Justice S.Tamilvanan) The petitioner, who is the mother of the detenu Selvam, aged about 27 years, has come forward with this petition challenging the detention order passed by the 2nd respondent dated 25/11/2014 against her son branding him as a "Goonda" under the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Cyber Law Offenders, Drug Offenders, Forest Offenders, Goondas, Immoral https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Traffic Offenders, Sand Offenders, Sexual Offenders, Slum Grabbers, and Video Pirates Act, 1982(Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982). 2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the order of detention passed by the 2nd respondent as against the son of the petitioner dated 25/11/2014 has been revoked by the Government in G.O. [Rt] No.399, Home, Prohibition & Excise (X) Department dated 19/1/2015 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.

3. Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this petition is closed as the same has become infructuous.
