ORDER

While extending the relief of Anticipatory Bail in favour of the petitioner in Crl.O.P.No. 32239 of 2019, this Court by order dated 02.01.2020 had inter alia directed the petitioner to report before the respondent police daily at 10.30 a.m. and 5.30p.m. until further orders.

2. According to the petitioner, in compliance of the directions given in Crl.O.P.No. 32239 of 2019, he had been reporting to the respondent police daily from 12.02.2020 to 20.03.2020 and subsequently, due to the lockdown and restriction of the movement of the public, he is unable to comply with the aforestated condition and further, according to him, due to the present covid-19 pandemic situation, he is unable to comply with the condition and sought for the relaxation of the condition imposed on him.

3. Learned Public Prosecutor has submitted that as stated by the petitioner, he has complied with the condition till 20.03.2020 as ordered by this Court and left the matter to be decided by this Court. 2/4

4. Considering the lockdown and the restriction of the movement of the public and the hardship experienced by the petitioner in reporting before the respondent police daily due to the present covid -19 pandemic situation and further, considering that the petitioner had complied with the condition imposed by this Court earlier without fail, in all, I am inclined to relax the condition imposed on the petitioner. Accordingly, the petitioner is henceforth directed to report before the respondent police once in a week at 10.30 a.m. until further orders and accordingly, the petition stands ordered. 06.05.2020 Index : Yes/No Internet : Yes/No sli To:
